LinkedIn Expert – Create Credibility on LinkedIn

Are you creating credibility on your LinkedIn profile?

One of the most valuable pieces of real estate on your LinkedIn profile is the Featured Section. This feature rolled out in February 2020, and it created an incredible opportunity for you to highlight items for those visiting your profile.

The Featured section is a new area on your LinkedIn profile where you can highlight work samples or testimonials from clients or referral partners that you are most proud of.

Whether you are using your profile to grow your personal brand, find employment or highlight your product or service, the Featured Section is like a “highlight” reel for you.

Here are ten ways you can generate credibility in the Featured Section of your LinkedIn profile:

 

  1. Video Testimonials from clients or referral partners
  2. Case studies that establish your credibility
  3. A link to your most popular LinkedIn posts that show your thought leadership
  4. A link to a PDF created that outlines your services and offerings
  5. Your speaker reels
  6. A Link to your call-to-action– This can be where you send visitors to get a free download or gift
  7. A link to a video podcast or show that you were featured on
  8. An introductory video of you speaking on a topic that you are an expert on
  9. A link to your company’s LinkedIn page– If your company has an active LinkedIn presence, add a call to join your company page in your Featured Section
  10. A link to your long-form content base

Remember that only the first three items will be highlighted so you might want to create a “Table of Contents” of what can be found in the Featured section so visitors will look at everything you have there.
